Pala is purified by the name of St.Alphonsa of Bharananganam.Through her tolerance,sufferings,and humbleness she sacrificed her life for the sake of crucified Jesus Christ.With her name Pala is now known as a Holyland.Pala contributed many gifted Bishops,priests and nuns to the world.The people of Pala is very religious.Bharananganam is neighbourhood to Pala.Now is considered as the" Lizyu "of India.Thousands of people from all around the world is visiting here daily.The nunnery where St.Alphonsa lived in Bharananganam is visited by many people where the room of St.Alphonsa is situated.
