Pala-Native's pride.
Pala is one of the most colourful, greenary enriched places in Kerala. Majority of the residents of Pala are educated, well-cultured people belonging to various castes and religions who live very co-operatively and peacefully. Pala town is situated on the banks of the Meenachil river. A majority of the population consists of farmers and businessmen. The main cultivations are rubber, pepper, coconut and tapioca. Rice is the main food item. Pala is blessed with the name of St.Alphonsa of Bharananganam and also numerous cultural and educational institutions which are counted among the best in the state.The main attraction of Pala is the shrine Kurisupally, in the name of St. Mary. It is the pride of each and every residents of Pala and also it is believed to be the crowning glory of pala.
